  • Visual perception, light and EM spectrum, Image sensing and acquisition.
  • Introduction to MATLAB.
  • Linear Systems, Convolution, Correlation, Impulse Response.
  • Fourier transform and its properties.
  • Image Enhancement in the spatial domain.
  • Image Enhancement in the frequency domain.
  • Edge detection (Prewitt, Roberts, Sobel, Laplacian, Canny, Hoteling).
  • Image Restoration.
  • Color Image Processing.
